Hi! I am James. I am really interested in photography. Currently I own a Canon EOS Rebel XS camera with a Canon f/4.0-5.6 35-80mm zoom lens. I also own a Tamron f/4.0-5.6 70-300mm zoom lens. I have a tripod for my camera to take slower shots, and it helps steady my 70-300mm zoom lens. The following pictures are portraits that I took of myself using my tripod, and in some cases, a remote shutter release, and at others my camera's timer. It is my desire to begin trying to take portraits of other people, but I thought one good way to start would be to take pictures of myself. |

This is a picture of me that I took of myself in the fall of 1996, using a tripod and timer. I used my dad to focus on, then I sat down in the chair. |

This is a picture I took of myself, on Easter Sunday, 1997. |

This is a picture I took of myself at my grandparents house, in the summer of 1996. I used my remote shutter release to be able to focus on myself and to start my camera's timer so I would not have to keep my arm stretched out holding the shutter release. |

I took this closup of myself one Sunday after church, the summer of 1997. I took several portraits of myself under different special lighting conditions that day. Perhaps, if I can find space to post them here on my page, I shall. They did not turn out as I had hoped, however. |
